MY ROLE
I was fortunate to have led design from the early stages of planning and research into an MVP and then worked with the CEO and Engineering Lead (later CTO) to ship a full-scale product across three different platforms. Later, I teamed up with Haifa to do a perception audit of the product and further qualitative research.
The Problem
Emails, messaging and so many other applications do nothing to create a shared sense of purpose and transparency. None of those systems makes the reader feel special! Informed, yes; empowered, maybe; but rarely special. What’s more, the balance of our individual, professional, personal, social, and purposeful lives has been tested like never before, and having a way to prioritise our relationships takes careful consideration.
The Process
In a past moving startup, processes are not always linear. Despite that, I endeavoured to bring a process-oriented approach in the long haul following the tried and tested design thinking guidelines:

Product definition
When I started, Bondle’s value proposition was at a mature stage of development and technical product requirements were being defined. It was an opportune moment to bring design thinking into the fray; customized by both product needs and delivery times.

Research
We conducted focused research as per the product stage of growth. Some of them were:

Analysis
Used Dovetail to analyse qualitative interview data and presented the findings to the stakeholders with the design team.

Design
Collaborated with product manager, engineers, customer success, and other designers both on my team and external contractors.

Solution
Product Statement: We aim to make software that respects the balance of all these aspects (outlined in the problem statement) of your relationships and delivers a way for you to navigate your various worlds while helping you to create simple, efficient, and transparent connections.
Design Overview
Impact
- Led the UI/UX effort using Agile to develop product design sprints, heuristic evaluation and SUS metrics working with internal stakeholders and customers to incorporate feedback into the system
- Shipped 3 builds across Web, iOS and Android in a timeframe of 2.5 months working closely with the Founder (CEO) & Engineering Lead using rapid prototyping and UX design patterns
- Delivered 35 prioritized UX recommendations to the executive team using heuristic evaluation, perception tests and interviews
- Increased conversion rate by 28% for the new users by improving onboarding using qualitative interviews and secondary research
